Since fall 2003, the Lions Club of Taos has offered a scholarship of $1,000 per year for up to four years of college. This approach helps the student and parents know they have ongoing help as time goes by. We were able to increase the program to two scholarships for 2010 high school graduates. This means we have thus far helped nine deserving Taos High School graduates go to the college of their choice.
The recipients since 2003 have studied in variety of majors including education and sciences at four-year schools and technical training at two-year schools.
We are proud to support these graduates and their families. They are people of whom the town of Taos can be rightfully proud.
